信主的见证---鄒丹亭

2010年6月20日，在经过2个多月的学习和思考后，我终于在弟兄姐妹的见证下受洗成为一名基督徒。

在我来到Curtin读书的第9天，我首次接受了福音，这福音就是主耶稣为我的罪死在十字架上，并且第三天从死人中复活，使一切相信他的人可以得救。当时我的感受是真的很开心，很明显的感受到神的感召，我也好像松了一口气，我的心灵终于找到了归宿，因为它真的已经很累很累了。

从那一刻起，上帝对我生命的奇妙安排让我实实在在感受到了他听到了我的祷告，并且时刻在我身边赐予我足够的智慧和能力来处理生活学习中的一切事务。让我可以诸事顺利，很多时候还有额外恩典。我的人生中最快乐的最奇妙的历程便开启了。

感谢上帝在我愤怒的时候让我可以平和；在我孤独的时候让我懂得寻找快乐；开始懂得感恩，珍惜现在所拥有的一切；懂得更多地站在别人的角度思考问题；已经原谅一些过去我无法原谅的人或者事物；不去厌恶人；眼中的世界也都是积极向上的，看到的也只有大家的优点。

简而言之，我的世界观、价值观有了巨大的改变。更重要的是，我觉得可以非常舒服的活出真正的自己，这种感觉让我前所未有的轻松自在和解脱。

朋友，你的心灵还在流浪吗？
朋友，你想不想抛开枷锁，活出真正的你？
耶稣基督是你心灵的避风港，
与耶稣基督同在你会发现自己有足够的勇气活出真正的自己！

信主前的我，我很怕看到基督徒，可能因为他们一讲到信仰的东西，就很“罗嗦”。小时候我有去过主日学，不过当时的我，不知道那是什么，我只是觉得应该是一个玩的地方。

后来，我刚进大学没多久，我舅母带一位弟兄到我家传福音。隔天，我也去参加了我生平中的第一次崇拜。但是，在那一年里，我用了很多借口逃避去参加崇拜，团契和小组聚会。我很感恩的一件事就是在我众多朋友当中，有其中两位是基督徒，让我认识到SMCGC。有一天，因为一个“特别原因”的关系，我到了SMCGC的团契聚会和小组，我看到这么多青年人在这里敬拜神，也透过这个团契，我听见了几位契友的分享，这让我认真地思考我为什么要逃避教会。之后，我开始渐渐地减少逃避去教会。

后来，我搬到Senadin住，我就开始在SMCGC 参加崇拜和团契。自从参加了聚会，我觉得身为大学生会有的压力渐渐地减少了。我在SMCGC, 透过许多人的见证分享，诗歌，学到了很多东西，也了解到上帝的恩典，只有祂的独生子-耶稣基督为我的罪死了并且复活，也因为这样，我在去年决定受洗，借此来肯定了自己的信仰。今年我也开始参加门徒班来更深入地学习上帝的话语。

得救见证 --- 林苏生

自小，我就在一个基督化的家庭长大，每个星期天都会跟妈妈去教堂参加主日学，可是我对神只有很肤浅的认识，并不知道信仰的真正意义。

在我中二那年，我的弟弟被证实患上了脑癌。这件事情给我家人很大的打击，我们真的彷徨无助和惧怕。之后，教会的牧者和一群的弟兄姐妹就来关心我们，鼓励我们，为我弟弟迫切地来祷告。从这件事情中，我看见上帝奇妙的带领和恩典。感谢神，我弟弟平安度过了手术，而且至今仍然有生命的气息。

经过这件事情后，我学习更认识神。在朋友的邀请下，我开始固定每星期天去参加崇拜及少年团契。以前的我是个非常没有自信的人，不善于表达以及与人沟通。可是，在少团弟兄姐妹的鼓励下，我慢慢学习去与人接触。我发现与人沟通是多么美好的啊！在一次的团契聚会中，我再次肯定自己的信仰，我愿意相信为罪人而死在十字架上并且第三天复活的主耶稣。我便祷告决志接受耶稣基督成为我生命个人的救主，让他来掌管我的人生。接受耶稣基督后，我的生命有很大的改变。我开始敞开自己，学习付出关怀，并以喜乐的心来面对每一天。此外，我也学习过着灵修祷告的生活，并且参与一些装备课程来提升自己的灵命。在教会里，我也开始去参与事奉。感谢神赐给我有歌唱的恩赐来事奉他。

亲爱的朋友，要知道生命是短暂的，肉体最终会死亡，但是灵魂是有永远的盼望。凡是愿意接受耶稣基督的人，他就必得着天国的福分与真正的平安！我已得着了！你呢？记得耶稣爱你哦！

Upcoming Events in SMCGC

1. There will be a District Last Supper Combined Service on 1st April, Thursday, 7:15pm at Civic Centre. Holy Communion will be conducted. There will be translation. If you need transportation, please inform Ps. Connie.
Please note also that there will be no Good Friday Service in SMCGC on 2nd April.

2. "Lights-off 1 Hour". Do your part by switching off your lights at home on 2nd April, Friday from 8:00-9:00pm. This exercise is carried out in conjuction with Earth Hour 2010.

3. The District Holy Week Revival Prayer Meeting, conducted in Mandarin, will be held from 29th March to 3rd April, every morning from 5:30am-6:30am at Huai En Methodist Church. If you need transportation, please inform Ps. Connie.

4. Come join the Weslyan Seminar on the 4th April, Saturday, from 1:30pm-8:30pm at Mega Hotel. Speakers for the day are Rev. Dr. Su Chii Ann, Rev. Thomas Lau and Rev. Khoo Ho Peng. Compulsory for all committee members. Other church members are most encouraged to join. There will be a minimal registration fee of Rm5. Tea break and dinner are provided. Interested please register with Brother Samuel Ling.

5. There will be a weekly Basic Sign Language Class starting from 10th April for 3 months. Classes will be conducted in the evening from 7pm-9pm at Grace Methodist Church. A registration fee is RM20. Interested, please register with Ps. Connie.

6. Baptism and Confirmation class starts on 17th April. To those who are not yet baptized and/or confirmed, it is highly encourage that you join this class. The baptism and confirmation ceremony is on 20th June. Interested please register with Ps. Connie.

7. The "No Apologies" Camp, conducted in Mandarin, will be held from 23rd to 25th April at Life Methodist Church. Join this camp to learn more about the truth of life, love and sex. Early birds will need to pay only RM30. After 11th April, the registration fee is RM50. Interested please register with Ps. Connie by 16th April.

8. The District "Life Game" Camp, conducted in Mandarin, will be held from 10th to 12th September at Tudan Methodist Chruch. This camp helps participants discover the meaning and purpose of life. Registration fee is RM120. Interested please register with Brother Samuel Ling by 31st July.

9. The District Bible Reading Prayer Camp, also conducted in Mandarin, will be held from 10th to 12th September at Gan En Methodist Church. Registration fee is RM70. Interested please register with Ps. Connie.

A Story Worth Sharing

Father John Powell, a professor at Loyola University in Chicago,writes about a student in his Theology of Faith class named Tommy:

Some twelve years ago, I stood watching my university students fileinto the classroom for our first session in the Theology ofFaith.That was the day I first saw Tommy.My eyes and my mind both blinked. He was combing his long flaxen hair,which hung six inchesbelow his shoulders. It was the first time I had ever seen a boy withhair that long. I guess it was just coming into fashion then. I knowin my mind that it isn't what's on your head but what's in it thatcounts; but on that day I was unprepared and my emotions flipped. Iimmediately filedTommy under "S" for strange... Very strange.Tommy turned out to be the "atheist in residence" in my Theology ofFaith course. He constantly objected to, smirked at, or whined aboutthe possibility of an unconditionally loving Father/God. We lived with each other in relative peace for one semester, although I admithe was for me attimes a serious pain in the back pew.

When he came up at the end of the course to turn in his final exam, heasked in a cynical tone, "Do you think I'll ever find God?" I decidedinstantly on a little shock therapy."No!" I said very emphatically."Why not," he responded,"I thought that was the product you were pushing." I let him get fivesteps from the classroom door and then called out,"Tommy! I don't think you'll ever find Him, but I am absolutelycertain that He will find you!" He shrugged a little and left myclass.I felt slightly disappointed at the thought that he had missed myclever line -- He will find you!At least I thought it was clever.

Later, I heard that Tommy had graduated, and I was duly grateful.Then a sad report came.I heard that Tommy had terminal cancer. Before I could search him out, he came to see me. When he walked into my office, his body wasvery badly wasted and the long hair had allfallen out as a result of chemotherapy.. But his eyes were bright andhis voice was firm,for the first time, I believe."Tommy, I've thought about you so often; I hear you are sick," I blurted out."Oh, yes, very sick. I have cancer in both lungs. It's a matter ofweeks." Tommy replied."Can you talk about it, Tom?" I asked."Sure, what would you like to know?" he replied."What's it like to be only twenty-four and dying?""Well, it could be worse.""Like what?""Well, like being fifty and having no values or ideals, like beingfifty and thinking that booze, seducing women, and making money arethe real biggies in life.."I began to look through my metal file cabinet under "S" where I hadfiled Tommy as strange.(It seems as though everybody I try to reject by classification, Godsends back into my life to educate me.) "But what I really came to see you about," Tom said, "is somethingyou said to me on the last day of class." (He remembered!)He continued, "I asked you if you thought I would ever find God andyou said, 'No!' which surprised me.Then you said, 'But He will find you.' I thought about that a lot,even though my search for God was hardly intense at that time. (Myclever line. He thought about that a lot!) ."But when the doctors removed a lump from my groin and told me that itwas malignant, that's when I got serious about locating God..And when the malignancy spread into my vital organs, I really beganbanging bloody fistsagainst the bronze doors of heaven. But God did not come out.In fact, nothing happened. Did you ever try anything for a long timewith great effort and with no success? You get psychologicallyglutted, fed up with trying. And then you quit.....Well, one day I woke up, and instead of throwing a few more futileappeals over that high brick wall to a God who may be or may not bethere, I just quit.I decided that I didn't really care about God, about an after life,or anything like that. I decided to spend what time I had left doingsomething more profitable.

I thought about you and your class and I remembered something else youhad said:: " The essential sadness is to go through life withoutloving. But it would be almost equally sad to go through life andleave this world without ever telling those you loved that you hadloved them.'"So, I began with the hardest one, my Dad. He was reading the newspaperwhen I approached him. "Dad.""Yes, what?" he asked without lowering the newspaper."Dad, I would like to talk with you.""Well, talk.""I mean . It's really important."The newspaper came down three slow inches. " What is it?""Dad, I love you, I just wanted you to know that." Tom smiled at meand said it with obvious satisfaction, as though he felt a warm andsecret joy flowing inside of him."The newspaper fluttered to the floor. Then my father did two things Icould never remember him ever doing before. He cried and he huggedme. We talked all night, even though he had to go to work the nextmorning. It felt so good to be close to my father, to see his tears,to feel his hug, to hear him say that he loved me."" It was easier with my mother and little brother. They cried withme, too, and we hugged eachother, and started saying real nice things to each other. We sharedthe things we had been keeping secret for so many years."I was only sorry about one thing --- that I had waited so long. Here Iwas, just beginning to open up to all the people I had actually beenclose to. "Then, one day I turned around and God was there. He didn'tcome to me when I pleaded with Him. I guess I was like an animaltrainerholding out a hoop, 'C'mon, jump through C'mon, I'll give you threedays, three weeks.'""Apparently God does things in His own way and at His own hour....Butthe important thing is that He was there. He found me...! You wereright.....He found me even after I stopped looking for Him."

"Tommy," I practically gasped,"I think you are saying something very important and much moreuniversal than you realize.To me, at least, you are saying that the surest way to find God is notto make Him a private possession, a problem solver, or an instantconsolation in time of need, but rather by opening to love.You know, the Apostle John said that... He said: "God is love, andanyone who lives in love is living with God and God is living inhim.''"Tom, could I ask you a favor? You know, when I had you in class youwere a real pain. But (laughingly) you can make it all up to me now.Would you come into my present Theology of Faith course and tell themwhat you have just told me? If I told them the same thing itwouldn't be half as effective as if you were to tell it.""Oooh.. I was ready for you, but I don't know if I'm ready for your class.""Tom, think about it. If and when you are ready, give me a call."

In a few days Tom called, said he was ready for the class, that hewanted to do that for God and for me. So we scheduled a date.However, he never made it. He had another appointment, far moreimportant than the one with me and my class. Of course, his life wasnot really ended by his death, only changed. He made the great stepfrom faith into vision. He found a life far more beautiful than theeye of man has ever seen or the ear of man has ever heard or the mindof man has ever imagined.

Before he died, we talked one last time."I'm not going to make it to your class," he said."I know, Tom.""Will you tell them for me? Will you ...tell the whole world for me?""I will, Tom. I'll tell them. I'll do my best."So, to all of you who have been kind enough to read this simple storyabout God's love, thank you for listening. And to you, Tommy,somewhere in the sunlit, verdant hills of heaven --- I told them,Tommy, as best I could.If this story means anything to you, please pass it on to a friend ortwo. Forgiveness: What it is and What it Isn't

Why do we find it so hard to forgive?

One reason we resist forgiving is that we don't really understand what forgiveness is or how it works. We think we do, but we don't.

Most of us assume that if we forgive our offenders, they are let off the hook — scot-free — and get to go about their merry ways while we unfairly suffer from their actions. We also may think that we have to be friendly with them again, or go back to the old relationship.

While God commands us to forgive others, he never told us to keep trusting those who violated our trust or even to like being around those who hurt us.

The first step to understanding forgiveness is learning what it is and isn't. The next step is giving yourself permission to forgive and forget, letting go of the bitterness while remembering very clearly your rights to healthy boundaries.

Granting forgiveness

Forgiveness is not letting the offender off the hook . We can and should still hold others accountable for their actions or lack of actions.

Forgiveness is returning to God the right to take care of justice. By refusing to transfer the right to exact punishment or revenge, we are telling God we don't trust him to take care of matters.

Forgiveness is not letting the offense recur again and again. We don't have to tolerate, nor should we keep ourselves open to, lack of respect or any form of abuse.

Forgiveness does not mean we have to revert to being the victim. Forgiving is not saying, "What you did was okay, so go ahead and walk all over me." Nor is it playing the martyr, enjoying the performance of forgiving people because it perpetuates our victim role.

Forgiveness is not the same as reconciling. We can forgive someone even if we never can get along with him again.

Forgiveness is a process, not an event. It might take some time to work through our emotional problems before we can truly forgive. As soon as we can, we should decide to forgive, but it probably is not going to happen right after a tragic divorce. That's okay.

We have to forgive every time. If we find ourselves constantly forgiving, though, we might need to take a look at the dance we are doing with the other person that sets us up to be continually hurt, attacked, or abused.

Forgetting does not mean denying reality or ignoring repeated offenses. Some people are obnoxious, mean-spirited, apathetic, or unreliable. They never will change. We need to change the way we respond to them and quit expecting them to be different.

Forgiveness is not based on others' actions but on our attitude. People will continue to hurt us through life. We either can look outward at them or stay stuck and angry, or we can begin to keep our minds on our loving relationship with God, knowing and trusting in what is good.

If they don't repent, we still have to forgive. Even if they never ask, we need to forgive. We should memorize and repeat over and over: Forgiveness is about our attitude, not their action.

We don't always have to tell them we have forgiven them. Self-righteously announcing our gracious forgiveness to someone who has not asked to be forgiven may be a manipulation to make them feel guilty. It also is a form of pride.

Withholding forgiveness is a refusal to let go of perceived power. We can feel powerful when the offender is in need of forgiveness and only we can give it. We may fear going back to being powerless if we forgive.

We might have to forgive more than the divorce. Post-divorce problems related to money, the kids, and schedules might result in the need to forgive again and to seek forgiveness ourselves.

We might forgive too quickly to avoid pain or to manipulate the situation. Forgiveness releases pain and frees us from focusing on the other person. Too often when we're in the midst of the turmoil after a divorce, we desperately look for a quick fix to make it all go away. Some women want to "hurry up" and forgive so the pain will end, or so they can get along with the other person. We have to be careful not to simply cover our wounds and retard the healing process.

We might be pressured into false forgiveness before we are ready. When we feel obligated or we forgive just so others will still like us, accept us, or not think badly of us, it's not true forgiveness — it's a performance to avoid rejection. Give yourself permission to do it right. Maybe all you can offer today is, “I want to forgive you, but right now I'm struggling emotionally. I promise I will work on it.”

Forgiveness does not mean forgetting. It's normal for memories to be triggered in the future. When thoughts of past hurts occur, it's what we do with them that counts. When we find ourselves focusing on a past offense, we can learn to say, "Thank you, God, for this reminder of how important forgiveness is."

Forgiveness starts with a mental decision. The emotional part of forgiveness is finally being able to let go of the resentment. Emotional healing may or may not follow quickly after we forgive.

撒但的聚會（就算你很忙也需要讀一讀）, 基督徒必讀

開場白

撒但說：

「我們無法使基督徒不去教會。我們也沒辦法讓他們不讀經、不明白真理。我們甚至不能讓他們遠離他們的救主。

若是他們與基督耶穌產生緊密聯結我們的權勢就敗落了！所以別讓他們去教會！

讓他們去吧！我們所要做的就是竊取他們的時間，

讓他們沒有時間來與他們的主親近聯結 …這就是我要你們做的！」

又說：「叫這些人無法和他們的救主有天天緊密的聯結。」惡魔邪靈大喊：「我們該怎麼做？」

撒但回答說：

「讓他們忙碌啊！讓他們為了生活上的小事忙碌，製造無盡的虛華來佔滿他們的腦袋！

引誘他們去花錢！盡情地花錢吧！讓他們因花錢而不停地賺錢、借錢吧！

讓妻子外出長時間工作，讓丈夫一週工作七天，每天十到十二個小時，這樣才有足夠的錢滿足他們虛華的方活方式。

讓父母們沒有時間陪伴孩子，漸漸地使家人們疏遠，好讓他們的家再也無法紓解工作帶來的壓力！

讓他們的腦子裡裝滿世界的事，叫他們再也聽不見那微小的聲音，讓他們隨到之處都響著靡靡之音，他們的家隨時都開著電視、放著VCD，他們的電腦日夜開著，叫所有商站、餐館時時播放世界音樂！

這樣就足以讓他們的腦袋無法與基督聯結。

讓他們的桌上擺滿各樣雜誌與報紙，用24小時新聞來佔滿他們的意念，當他們開車時，用各式各樣的看板來吸引他們的注意力。

讓他們的信箱塞滿各種垃圾郵件，各大超市百貨公司的減價單，各樣的抽獎單、免費產品、免費服務，各式各樣虛假的希望，

還要讓那些身材絞好、年輕貌美的女人不停地出現在雜誌與電視上，叫丈夫們相信外在美最重要，這樣他們就對自己妻子感到不滿意，讓他們的妻子忙碌到無法愛他們的丈夫，讓他們頭痛！

若是妻子們無法讓丈夫得到愛，那麼丈夫們就會到其他地方去找愛，這樣一來，家庭便變得非常脆弱。

讓聖誕老人迷惑他們，叫他們的孩子不懂得聖誕節的真正意義，給孩子們復活節的小兔子，讓他們不懂得復活大能可勝過罪與死。

讓他們在遊樂場所瘋狂遊戲，回來時筋疲力盡，讓他們忙著去兒童樂園，忙著去看球賽、戲劇、電影、音樂會，叫他們沒有時間去看神所創造的大自然。

讓學生們忙於課業成績, 疏於靈修祈禱 ,反而振振有詞的聲稱是為將來能服事人,是為光榮天主的名。

讓他們忙碌、忙碌、忙碌！

而當他們去聚會時，讓他們搞小圈圈、講閒話，對別人批評論斷,自以為是正義公理而口不擇言,

永遠不反省地指責別人,卻看不到自己的問題,這樣一來，就有無窮盡的衝突發生，讓他們的生活中有無盡的理由，叫他們不從基督得力，很快地，他們就會只懂得靠自己。犧牲自己的家庭、健康，只為滿足自己所要的一切！」

惡魔們大喊：「這實在是個好辦法！」

「可行！太有用了！」

的確，這個計劃實在太棒了！於是，撒但們急忙在他們的崗位上開始行動，讓基督徒越來越忙，生活越來越趕，讓他們來回奔走，沒有時間敬拜神或陪伴自己的家人，也沒有時間傳福音救更多的人。

我想，我的疑問是：撒但的計劃成功了嗎？答案就看你自己！

難道，忙－正代表了「服在撒但的軛下」？

感谢神赐给我在校园中心牧养的机会。能够来到这里事奉是我的福气。当我一听见自己被派到美里校园中心和恩典堂牧养时，心中真是高兴又紧张。高兴的时，美里太靠近我家乡，尼亚石山了，回家就不成大问题。紧张的是，我必须以双语（华语和英语）来事奉，这真是极大的挑战，因为知道自己的英语是“有限公司”。

无论如何，经过一年的事奉，我停下脚步，回头看一看，原来是神的恩典一路相伴至今。刚刚“出道”的我，有很多东西都不懂，有很多还在摸索的东西。有的时候，真后悔自己在神学院为什么不努力点、多下功夫、多学一些东西，那么出来牧养时就可以轻省许多。但感谢神，他的恩典够我用。许多东西不是一学就会的，就算学会了这样，也还有其他的要学。最重要的是，我要把握任何机会，并谦卑学习，充实及突破自己。

在校园中心牧养是非常喜乐的！因为这里有一群年轻、活泼、可爱、充满干劲的青年人。你们是我的朋友，也是我的“孩子”。每当我在事奉上感觉繁重、压力、想要逃避时，你们却是我前进的动力。小声告诉你们，有的时候我真的忙得不想去参加聚会，但，还是非去不可。当我一抵达教会楼下时，就听见你们在楼上的笑声、说话、练唱，我心中就喜乐起来。我就会很开心地走上楼梯，仿佛又来到了欢乐的时光。看见你们的出席和笑脸，我的低潮也不见了。就在聚会当中，神借着你们，也借着他的诗歌和话语，使我重新刚强起来！

到目前为止，用英语沟通及写英语讲章还是我很大的挑战。但经过一年的磨练，神叫我学习更加依靠他。我相信他的恩典是够我用的。我也相信他的带领是没有错误的。我要做的就是求告他的名，凭信心一步一步地向前迈进。

感谢神赐给校园中心有一群忠心事奉的领袖们。你们在事奉上的主动、努力、谦卑使我感到安慰及鼓励。若没有你们的同工，我相信校园中心不会有今天。愿神记念你们在主里面的劳苦。每当我看见弟兄姐妹们有一颗追求、愿意学习的心时，我也倍感激励！你们的追求促使我更当去追求主。期望你们对神追求的心是不断加增的！神必要因你对他的渴慕使你的心得到无比的满足。让我们一起在灵程路上前进不懈，使主名更芬芳！

愿神的爱继续充满在校园中心，

愿神的光不断照耀整个会所，

愿神的道被我们传扬出去，

愿神的圣名永被高举！

《加帛短宣-信心之旅》

美里禧纳定校园福音中心，SMCGC (Senadin Methodist Campus Gospel Centre) 於6月20日至26日，在教会牧者杨锦凤传道和木山工场的陈俊杰传道带领之下，我们11位第二届门徒班的科廷大学生来到了加帛木山营短宣。此短宣的主题为“信心的翅膀”。

我们在6月21日至25日，以一天一营(camp)的方式去了Amang Camp, Pelagus Camp, Nanga Balleh Camp, Garu Camp 和Simpileh Camp。这五个camp 就是我们进行五个布道晚会的地点。每晚布道会的节目包括舞蹈、敬拜赞美、见证分享、证道、戏剧、播放诗歌影片、献诗和呼召。布道会开始前，我们13人都会聚集在一起祷告，之后就同声宣告“13门徒，为主奋斗！靠主得胜！”，来展开我们的奋斗。

这七天的短宣，对我们大学生而言是磨练我们的信心之旅。我们所拜访的五个camp，平常参与聚会的原是华人占多数，但这次却因短宣队的到来和邀请，很多伊班朋友也出席了每晚的布道晚会，我们向主感恩！我们面对最大的挑战就是要把这先前所准备的华语节目几乎全部都换去国语。已经多时没用国语的我们临时感到紧张，但透过祷告及上帝所赐的聪明智慧与恩典，翻译工作一天比一天更加顺畅。我们的戏剧慢慢地从全华语更换到全国语来带进行。靠着对神的信心，神大大地赐福于我们，哈利路亚！

我们在第二个营，Pelagus Camp时，硬盘（Hard Disk）突然坏了，所有须在布道会引用的资料全都流失了，当时我们突然紧张起来。感谢主，短宣队长刘本樟弟兄在前一晚就有感动要把资料另存在电脑里，而其他队员也有部分的资料存底。当时候，我们就赶紧地收集了所有的资料，布道会也很顺利地进行了。

去到不同的camp时，我们会逐家去邀请那儿的居民或工友民们参与晚上的布道会，这过程又是另一个信心的考验。在邀请的当儿，曾有人说“如果等下有下雨，我就会去”。据知，木山已经一个月没下雨了，我们就向主祈求下雨好让工友们早点儿收工，准备参与晚上的布道会。感谢主，他应允了我们的祷告，当天傍晚就下雨了。当走到长屋邀请伊班朋友时，他们都会说“au ”(“是的”意思)。跟据陈传道分析，他们有时答应了也不一定会出席。但感谢主，当我们看见许多伊班朋友出席时，我们真的感到无比欢喜。

在Simpileh Camp时，我们也拜访了那儿的小学，那间小学共有157位学生，九成是伊班人。据老师透露，不曾有外人去探望他们，我们是第一队。很感恩，我们有机会参与学生事工。我们带领孩子们玩游戏和唱诗歌，也播放伊班语的耶稣传，让他们认识耶稣及他的救恩。当陈传道呼召的时候，所有的学生都站立表明愿意祷告接受耶稣成为他们的救主。

我们从美里一路搭7小时多的车程到诗巫，三小时的船到加帛，在木山里坐车坐船到不同的营，都是为了主福音的缘故。在木山里，我们每一天从早晨开始都得搭车，有时搭船，从一个营到另外一个营，有时要站在车（Pick Up）后“吃灰尘”、暴晒太阳到脱皮又变黑、撞车握把撞到淤青、有时被淋雨。虽然如此，这些若比起耶稣所受的苦，我们所经历的只不过是犹如沙石小的事，我们也深信将来必得着神的赏赐，得着荣耀。我们深被保罗的一句话所激励，【我想，现在的苦楚若比起将来要显与我们的荣耀就不足介意了。】（罗马书8：18）。我们每晚都睡不同的地方，感谢主，几天后，大家都习惯了且睡得很香甜。弟兄们都很主动、甘心乐意地帮助姐妹们拿行李包、扶她们上下车和船、照顾她们的安全，这让姐妹们感动不已。木山的工友们也很热情的欢迎我们。透过这次的短宣，我们一共接触了大约330位当地的居民及工友们。感谢神使用我们为他传扬福音的真理。主为我们所预备的真是超乎我们所能想象的，真是福杯满溢啊！

在这次的短宣里，我们深深经历圣灵的带领和能力。我们要感谢那些默默为我们祷告的弟兄姐妹们。祷告就是我们的力量！我们向主感恩！最后，我们要以一首被队员，林苏生弟兄改编过的歌作为结束：

这六天，十三人，风也吹，尘也吃，
有过泪，有过愁，还记得坚持什么，
相爱过，才会懂，会珍惜，会不舍，
总有你，总有我，一起过。

朋友一生一起走，这些日子不再有，
一句话，一辈子，一生情，永不忘，
我们不曾孤单过，因为永远有你我，
一起笑，一起哭，信靠主，有能力。

最后一夜，我们每一个人都分享了我们短宣的感想。

杨锦凤传道：这次的短宣有挑战，我看见门徒们的突破，住的厕所、坐船、吃尘、女生每晚穿一样的制服等。门徒们每一天都重新开始，把握机会不一样，一直想办法改进用国语。我们一出来就不要像家那样，既来之则安之。圣灵给我们能力去做，四律虽无法做，但是回去可分享给他人。最重要的是，我们看见禾场的需要，缺乏工人。

陈俊杰传道：我欣赏门徒们的喜乐与热心的侍奉，会一直问关于新场地、人数、当地情况等。
刘本樟：我学到信心的功课，圣灵在我们当中运行，而且谋事在人，成事在上帝。
林鹏鸿：在这之前，我无法融入教会的群体。经过这次的短宣，我第一次能融入也较积极。谢谢门徒们的接纳！

陈吟诗：我与朋友的关系更好，很高兴能与很多人一起侍奉。

林依霖：我学习适应短宣的环境，也学到很多东西。如果有短宣，我都会想参加。

汤仲伟：透过短宣，我看到朋友们的另外一面。每个人都有魅力。女子面带笑容跳舞很漂亮。这次也同男子们一起冲凉。

林苏生：我喜欢短宣的生活。

梁玉玲：很开心每天睡不一样的地方、一起与女子睡、一起生活等。

王欣茜：我学了很多福州话，每天睡前都学。我很感动、感谢门徒门把我当“豆腐”来关照我。我也看到门徒同心合一、男子很体贴。这一次的短宣是我从去SMCGC到现在，建立最好关系的一次就是这次。感谢神应允我的祷告让妈妈肯我来这个短宣。

何暐典：我很享受，多过短宣就像旅游。我也更深入认识大家，谢谢大家互相帮忙和鼓励。

陈媚媚：门徒该出来一起短宣因感情更好，是在课室里没法经历的。男子体贴女子，都会把好的给女子例如搭无盖的车吸尘。我希望我们再来短宣。

谢昭颖：这次来短宣，我有很大的得着，已学习克服对飞虫和猫的恐惧。我很感动男子的体贴、帮忙夹菜、拿行李包。有机会我还想参加短宣。

信主之前
我呢，就像其它的未信主的人一样，对于信耶稣得永生，信耶稣上天堂等等的言论持有观望，怀疑的态度。每次都有人传福音时说：“信耶稣得永生”都在想耶稣真的有能力让人上天堂？只要信他就可以了？那么简单？

信主过程
我是来自一个非基督背景的家庭，家里的爸爸妈妈公公婆婆都不是基督徒，而我呢从小就被妈妈送到教堂去上主日学，为什么呢？因为妈妈觉得去做礼拜的孩子会比较听话，比较乖，比较好。从小就在教堂混到大，每一阵子都会有人问，你是基督徒吗？我说我算一半，因为还没受洗啊。那怎么还不受洗，基督徒必须要受洗的哦，我每次都摇头说不了，因为我觉得我还没有预备心来接受耶稣基督为我个人生命的救主，那时候是觉得来教堂就要受洗，有点强迫的感觉，后来渐渐的就没什么去教会了。

信主之后
真正的开始相信主是在来了美里curtin第二年，也就是degree第一年，当时是和朋友，kenny一起来SMCGC崇拜，那是我隔了许久又终于回到了教会，回到上帝耶稣的面前，在这里我开始重新思考圣经里的话语，重新领悟到耶稣是爱我的，爱每个人，耶稣并不因为我不去教会，不遵从他而抛弃了我，他在默默的等，等我在外头流浪，漂泊，累了，从新的接纳我，领我归于他。现在，我决定受洗，接受耶稣基督为我生命中个人的救主，我愿意跟从他，顺从他，因为耶稣基督，我重生了，我是一个新造的人，我会在基督里活出他的样式。

《另一方的约定》

在投向另一方之前的我是不择不扣的小魔女，犹如戏剧般的暴力。
被抓来鞭打乃兵家常事，这造成了小孩幼小心灵的阴影，
无法谅解的同时，我把气发泄在妹妹的身上，
我身上的淤青同样的妹妹身上也通红，她的心灵被我伤害，
我当时毫无愧疚感，她只是我发泄的工具。
在外，我却是人人喜爱的小女孩。
两重性格，伴随着我成了我的习惯。。。
直到我知道另一方的那一段时期，透过邀请去到教会。
开始时，我仍然没啥改变，还是老样子。
到了青春时期，在一次少团的赞美时光，“在十字架上，你为我舍命，受鞭伤。。。所有的罪恶，你为我担当。。。何等牺牲的爱。。。”
圣灵在当时打动了我的心，上帝为我的生命敞开了另一席幽帘。
我开始思想我的生命，
我是多么不配的那一个，不值得怜惜的那一个，
但是上帝怜悯我，祂对我这罪人的爱是多么的深厚、扎实，
甚至将祂的独生子赐给我们，
为我们的罪被钉在十字架上，
第三天复活胜过了那黑暗权势，
祂是多么的渴望我们回转向祂，享有永恒的福分。
我的生命从此因祂不一样，
我的生活不易被欲望驾驭，
我的品格被祂话语塑造，
我的作息都有祂的陪伴，
我的成长是由祂来锻炼，
我的一切都让祂来掌管。

从那一方（黑暗~ 魔鬼）
转向另一方（光明~ 三位一体真神）。。。
我绝不后悔，也不放弃投向另一方的决定，
因另一方那永恒的约定。你呢？

一个学期的结束-感恩篇

很快的，
一个学期又结束了。

这个学期最值得感恩赞美的是~我受洗+入会了！
哇，真的真的非常非常感恩！
就在2009年6月14日那一天
没想到，我终于受洗了！感谢赞美主啊！
让我对我的信仰更加的肯定！
[所以，我们借着洗礼归入死，和他一同埋葬，原是叫我们一举一动有新生的样式，
像基督借着父的荣耀从死里复活一样。]罗马书6：4

这个学期我在事奉上学习了很多很多
虽然功课很忙，但那种喜乐是非言语能表达的！
虽然有时很忙，
但我还是坚持抽时间参加每一个崇拜，聚会，祷告会，练唱，事奉，
主的恩典真的够我用，那种喜乐真的是倍增，时间还是够用哦！
让我更有能力做每一件事
有时虽然很累，但是值得的！
[所以我们既得了不能震动的国，就当感恩，照神所喜悦的，
用虔诚、敬畏的心事奉神。] 希伯来书12：28
[甘心事奉，好像服事主，不像服事人。] 以弗所书6：7

下个学期将要面对我不曾尝试过的事奉咯，
但感谢主让我有机会尝试不同的，
让我知道到底我在哪方面有恩赐！感恩感恩~
[我们各人蒙恩，都是照基督所量给各人的恩赐。] 以弗所书4：7

学习了很多以前不曾学习的东西，Or不可能会去做的东西
就好比带领小组，以前都是人家带领我，原来带领小组是那么喜乐的，
以前还会觉得，他们带领小组还要去备课，多浪费时间啊！
原来，自己体验了才知道，备课可以学到很多东西，还可以使灵命成长，
原来以前的想法是错误的!

好比说，去参加晨祷会，
以前叫我参加？慢慢等咯！
还要那么早起床
现在既然觉得非常好，非常渴望，感觉非常好！
还有好多好多哦！

在课业方面主也与我同在，
带领我
无论在Assignment，考试等等，主都一一的带领我！

我要不断学习，活出基督的样式，结出圣灵的果子，为主得着更多人。
赶快祷告并向你身边的人传福音，现在马上...
[不可叫人因为你年轻，总要在言语，行为，爱心，信心，
清洁上，都作信徒的榜样。] 提摩太前书4：12

[圣灵所结的果子，就是仁爱、喜乐、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、

这是Alvin正在Perth求学所面对的生活点滴。他说，学校附近就有许多Clubbing的地方，也有一间很大间的Casino，他常被同学邀请去这些地方，但他都拒绝了。以下是他在面对这过程中所得到的感想、心得！ Ps Connie Yong

生命作赌注
“那时你们在过犯和罪恶中行事为人，
随着时代的潮流，
也服从空中掌权的首领，
就是现今在悖逆的人身上运行的灵。”
~ 以弗所书 2: 2 ~

“又去教堂？又在忙教会的事？”
“是的，我还嫌我去不够多呢！”
那你为什么不问我为什么去？
我所信的又是什么呢？
其实原因很简单。。。
我用我的生命“赌”耶稣是确确实实地存在着！

赌博 — 我想每个人都曾赌过吧。。。
大赌小赌或是玩玩而已，有些人甚至刚懂事就开始赌了。
大家有没有想过，我们每个人在世上其实都有一个生命作我们一生的赌注？
（撇开投胎论不说）
我想，当我们在下注某一个东西的时候，
应该都会先分析一下我们赌注的回报吧，
更何况我们要用我们的生命作赌注！
如果赌钱财的话，输了还可以赚回来，
赌自尊的话，还可以去别的地方生活，
赌老婆的话，还可以娶多一个，(希望你不会把老婆给赌掉，基督徒只能娶一个哦！)
那生命呢？失败的话还有第二个生命吗？

今天，我们只能用我们的生命作三个选择。
一， “赌”耶稣是真的。这就是我的立场。
二，选择不接受也不相信耶稣。
或是什么选择也没做，这种人是还没有听见福音的人。

如果你辛辛苦苦赚了一点钱，
并打算到赌场去赌一把，
试想你会毫无考虑就随随便便下注吗？
当然不会！
换成是我，我一定会清清楚楚地考虑一番后再决定。
而那只是金钱，输了还能继续活下去。
当我必须要用生命作赌注的话，
我能不加思索就把我的生命交出来吗？
这就是我会去寻求真理的目的。
我去教会，读圣经，看关于圣经的书籍，
听别人的见证分享，听牧师讲道，
这一切都为了更加确定我要下注在哪一方。

而今天，我可以很清楚地说，
我相信耶稣基督为我们的罪，
被钉在十字架上，
但我“赌”的，是耶稣胜过死亡，
他在三天后已经复活，升天，
而将来，我们信他名的人，
将会和他一起，进入他永恒的国度，
也就是上帝所预备的新天新地，
在那里没有眼泪，不再有哭泣，一切都要更新！

当然，当我已经把我的生命交给耶稣，
我就应当全心全意的，单单事奉他，
这也就是我一直拒绝朋友的邀请，
而选择去教会的理由。
因为，我不可能把赌注下在这一边，
可是心还在另一方。

只要我们还在人世的一天，
我们就有权利选择把生命放在哪一边。
纵然我们曾经把生命交给耶稣后又拿回来，
但是只要有一天我们能悔改，
再次把生命交出来，
耶稣必定还会接受你和我！

何暐典之见证篇

亲爱的弟兄姐妹大家主里平安. 我是何暐典, 今天我要跟你们分享我生命的见证.

接近20年前, 我母亲怀了我. 在怀孕我3个月的时候, 医生证实了我母亲患上了德国麻症, 英文称为Rubella. 医生说, 80%的婴儿会因为母亲患上Rubella而瞎眼或造成耳聋. 那时候许多妇女也面对着同样的情况.

知道这消息后, 全家人都很伤心. 医生曾建议我母亲打掉我, 就是说要我母亲去堕胎. 但是, 我全家都反对这么做, 因为一个胎儿也有神所赐的生命. 他们相信神有祂奇妙的计划在我身上. 因此他们都决定不堕胎.

我全家人都很迫切地为这件事祷告, 向上帝祈求, 包括我在外国的姑姑和伯伯也不断地为我祷告. 有时候, 我母亲会因为这病而昏倒, 但神依然保守着我们母子俩平安无事. 在我母亲怀孕我第7个月的时候, 她再次出麻. 虽然如此, 她相信神一定会救我们母子俩的. 同时, 全家人那时候都不停不住地向神祷告, 交托.

经过了9个月, 出产的日期终于到了. 英国的姑姑也因此赶回诗巫来等我出生. 感谢主, 我顺利地出生了. 医生为我做了检查, 很惊讶的发现我没有任何的问题或缺陷因为我没有瞎眼, 也没有耳聋. 全家因此感谢神.

圣经说: “我在母腹中, 你已覆庇我.” 这是因为我全家人都信靠上帝, 每天都向祂祷告, 并相信神有祂的计划和神迹, 是我们无法猜测到的.

从幼儿园到小学到中学到大学, 我都深深体会神的带领. 在我做决定的时候, 神带领我; 在我生病的时候, 面对困难的时候, 祂安慰我; 当我做错的时候, 祂责备我, 提醒我, 也赦免我的罪. 上帝无时无刻,都与我同在. 我也一天比一天更爱神.

我今天会存在, 会站在这里与你们分享我出生的经历, 都是因为有上帝的恩典. 如果不是上帝的原故, 我早就被堕胎了, 早就不存在了, 也不会来到这世界了. 这一切都是因为神的爱, 是神拯救了我, 阿们!

Saudara and saudari, apa khabar? Name saya Edwin Ho. Hari ini ingin kongsi dengan kamu tentang kesaksian kehidupan saya,

Hampir 20 tahun yang lalu, emak saya telah mengandung saya. Pada bulan ketiga kehamilannya, doktor sahkan bahawa emak saya telah menghidapi penyakit rubella. Menurut doktor, 80% bayi yang emaknya menghidapi penyakit ini akan menjadi buta ataupun pekak. Pada masa itu, ramai ibu juga menghadapi masalah yang sama.

Selepas mengetahui perkara tersebut, seluruh ahli keluarga saya amat sedih. Doktor pernah menasihatikan emak saya untuk menggugurkan saya. Namun demikian, seluruh keluarga saya tidak setuju dengan cadangan tersebut, kerana bayi yang belum dilahirkan juga mempunyai nyawa yang dikurniakan oleh Tuhan. Mereka juga percaya bahawa Tuhan mempunyai rancangan yang istimewa untuk saya. Oleh itu, mereka tidak menggugurkan saya.

Keluarga saya berdoa bersungguh-sungguh untuk perkara ini dan merayu kepada Tuhan. Selain itu, mak cik dan pak cik saya di luar negara juga tidak berhenti-henti berdoa untuk saya. Kadangkala, emak saya pengsan disebabkan penyakit ini, namun Tuhan tetap menjaga emak dan saya supaya kedua-dua kami selamat. Biasanya rubella hanya akan berlaku sekali saja. Walaupun emak saya menghidapi rubella untuk dua kali, dia tetap percayai Tuhan akan menyelamatkan kami. Pada masa yang sama, keluarga saya tidak berhenti-henti berdoa untuk kami.

Selapas 9 bulan, sampailah masa kelahiran saya. Mak cik yang berada di England bergegas balik ke Sibu unutk menantikan kelahiran saya. Syurkur kepada Tuhan, saya telah dilahirkan dengan selamatnya. Doktok membuat checking untuk saya. Dia berasa hairan setelah mendapati bahawa saya tidak mempunyai apa-apa masalah di mana saya tidak buta ataupun pekak. Kami sekeluarga bersyurkur kepada Tuhan untuk perkara ini.

Alkitab pernah berkata: “Engkau membentuk aku di dalam rahim ibuku.” Sebab itulah keluarga saya mempercayai Tuhan, berdoa kepada Tuhan tiap-tiap hari. Kami percayai bahawa Tuhan mempunyai rancangannya dan keajaibannya yang tidak diketahui oleh kita.

Dari tadika hingga universiti, saya dapat merasai pimpinan Tuhan dalam hidup saya. Sebelum saya mengambil sesuatu tindakan, Tuhan pimpin saya; apabila saya sakit ataupun menghadapi masalah, Tuhan menghiburkan saya; apabila melakukan sesuatu yang salah, Tuhan menegur, mengingati dan mengampunkan dosa saya. Tidak kira bila atau di mana, Tuhan tetap bersama saya. Saya juga semakin hari semakin cintakan Tuhan.

Kewujudan saya hari ini, berdiri di sini unutk mengkongsikan kisah hidup saya, semua ini berkat Tuhan. Tanpa Tuhan, saya sudahpun digugurkan, awal-awal lagi kemungkinan saya tidak wujud, tidak dapat datang ke dunia ini. Semua ini adalah atas cinta Tuhan, Tuhanlah yang menyelamatkan saya, Ah-mem!

TRAVEL PLANS

For the Christians amongst us...

Did you ever realize that all the arrangements for the final journey have already been made?

Read this check-list and give thanks.

ACCOMMODATION
Arrangements for first-class accommodation have been made in advance.
"In My Father's house are many rooms ....... I am going there to
prepare a place for you." (John 14:2).

PASSPORTS
Persons seeking entry will not be permitted past the gates without
having proper papers/credentials and having their names registered
with the ruling Authority.
"Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is
shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the
Lamb's book of life". (Revelation 21:27).

DEPARTURE TIMES
The exact date of departure has not been announced. Travellers are
advised to be prepared to leave at short notice.
"It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by
His own authority." (Acts 1:7).

TICKETS
Your ticket is a written pledge that guarantees your journey. It
should be claimed and its promises kept firmly in hand.
"I tell you the truth, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent
Me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over
from death to life." (John 5:24).

CUSTOMS
Only one declaration is required while going through customs.
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in
your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
(Romans 10:9).

IMMIGRATION
All passengers are classified as immigrants, since they are taking up
permanent residence in a new country. The quota is unlimited.
".......... they were longing for a better country - a heavenly one
........ He has prepared a city for them." (Hebrews 11:16).

LUGGAGE
No luggage whatsoever is necessary.
"For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of
it." (1 Timothy 6:7).

AIR PASSAGE
Travelers' going directly by air are advised to watch daily for
indications of imminent departure.
"After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up
together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so
we will be with the Lord forever." (1 Thessalonians 4:17).

VACCINATION AND INOCULATION
Injections are not needed, as diseases are unknown at the destination.
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death
or mourning or crying or pain......" (Revelation 21:4).

CURRENCY
Supplies of currency may be forwarded ahead to await the passenger's
arrival. Deposit your heart, mind, soul and life.
"But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust
do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal." (Matthew
6:20)...

CLOTHING
A complete and appropriate new wardrobe is provided for each traveler.
"...For He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in
a robe of righteousness. ..." (Isaiah 61:10).

TIME CHANGES
Resetting of watches will not be necessary to adjust to the day/night
schedule.
"The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the
glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.......... for
there will be no night there." (Revelations 21:23,25).

RESERVATIONS
Booking is now open. Apply at once.
"........ now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of
salvation." (2 Corinthians 6:2)

CORONATION CEREMONY
The highlight of the journey is the welcoming reception and coronation
which await the arrival.
"Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the
Lord, the Righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only
to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing." (2 Timothy
4:8).

Earth Hour 2009

Hey people!! Just wanna remind you all of the Earth Hour tomorrow!! Do join this global event by switching off your lights from 830PM to 930PM!! Let us contribute our part in standing against climate change, global change.

Of course when it comes to mitigating or stop global warming, the to-do-list can go never ending, from switching off unnecessary lights or electrical appliances to even car-pooling which can reduce carbon dioxide emissions from vehicles. However, let us all take our very first step, give our very first part by involving ourselves in this Earth Hour 2009. All we need to do is switch off our lights (best if possible, all electrical appliances) tomorrow (27th March 2009) night from 830PM - 930PM!! Guess English fellowship needs to plan something up for tomorrow night, maybe candle lit sharing session. =)

There are many things we can do during that one hour of darkness!! Take that time to reflect on the many things we might have taken for granted in our life, the readily availability of electricity, the complacent modern life we live in with as compared with people in some poorer countries who might have not ever heard about "LIGHT"!! Use that time also to say a thanksgiving prayer to our Lord. Give thanks for His blessings and provisions. Think also on how as an individual, can we contribute in preserving "OUR" Earth!! So, remember.. lights off tomorrow 830PM to 930PM!! Let us all vote for Earth!! =)

Dearest SMCGC members,

How’s life going on?! I bet everyone must be starting to get their hands dirty (if u can get what I mean). I myself am already in FYP stress!! Can you believe it?! In just Week 4, I am already working till midnight, “driving night car” (direct translation from Mandarin). Anyway, just want to remind you all to stay healthy, don’t follow my footsteps. Learn to manage your time wisely, and I’m sure we can all get through this with the grace of God!! =)

Coming up this following week and into the month of April, is the Holy week, which is the last week of Lent, the week before Easter. The time when Jesus had his last supper with his disciples, went through the crucifixion, died and resurrected. Let us prepare our hearts in commemorating all these meaningful events, and also take this chance to appreciate and be thankful of what Jesus has done for us, dying on the cross to cleanse our sins. Do take note the following programs/services,

9th April (THUR), 730PM - Maundy Thursday/Last Supper Service (Mandarin)
10th April (FRI), 730PM - Good Friday Service (English)
12th April (SUN), 800AM - Easter Sunday Service (Mandarin)
12th April (SUN), 1000AM - Easter Sunday Service (English)

Also coming up is the “Sexual & Intimacy” talk organized by the Mandarin fellowship, on 27th March (FRI), 730PM. Come and learn how the Bible teaches us on handling sexual and intimacy issues in our relationships. Do invite your friends to join too.

Mandarin fellowship will also be organizing a one day trip to Bekenu Beach on 18th April (SAT), 800AM to 400PM. This will be something filled with sun, fun, and water!! If interested, please register with Sis. Angnes Tiong. Registration fee is just RM10. Limited seats, so be fast!!

The District mini sports day is on 1st May (FRI), 700AM to 1200PM. SMCGC is forming a team to represent in the games. If you have the gut, the stamina, or just looking for plain FUN and sweats, do sign up with bro. Ryan Lau.

SMCGC is also planning a short term mission trip to Sungai Plan and University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in Bintulu from 17th to 19th of July. The mission team is still lacking of 4 members. If you can speak English and Bahasa Malaysia, and have the burden to do mission, please register with Pastor Connie.

That’s all from me for now. I pray that God’s blessing will be upon all of us, no matter in our studies, our work, our spiritual growth and our physical health conditions.. May God also empower us to do good in everything, to live a Holy Christian life, so as to able to touch the hearts of others who are in need of God’s love. Amen!!

我原本就出生在一个基督化的家庭,接受小洗,上主日学对我来说只是理所当然的事,
小时候的我非常内向,以至在小学的6年里,我没有一个真正知心的朋友,到最后很多内心的话都无处可诉,只能够往肚里吞,渐渐的便造成性格上的孤僻,脾气也变得很不好.

少年时期升上中学,很自然就跟着去参加少年团契,当时的我根本不明白,也不了解那么做是为了什么,甚至不明白人生的意义.我一心只是想说跟去玩玩.就因为这种不对的心态, 很快的, 我对团契感到厌倦, 因为我觉得, 在团契里, 我找不到我要的东西, 我得不到关爱.就这样我变得很少去团契, 再来就是没有去团契了

但是上帝祂就是没有因此而离弃我,祂差派天使,也就是团契里的弟兄姐妹来探访我,带我回到团契里.重新回到团契 , 上帝让我的生命从此有了极大的改变.

上帝藉着种种的事奉,让我变得坚强,勇敢,开朗.让我这么一个原本懦弱, 怕事的一个人, 勇敢地站在台上面对着台下几百位会众, 更让我有机会成为教会的领袖, 团契的职员, 参与事工,带领团契成长,这些对我来说简直就是神迹.

生命得到更新的我,在校园里也有所改变,上帝让我转校到一间适合我的中学.也许那不是什么名校, 但是却让我的人生纪念册上留下了很多美好的回忆.上帝赐给我一群好朋友,让我中学5年成为我最怀念的五年。

上帝祂真的很奇妙, 祂总会帮我安排我前面的路, 祂的安排绝对是超乎我们所求所想的.有时候我会在想,如果我没有被造就,那今天的我会是个怎样的人,也许会在世界的某个角落等待沉沦.但是感谢神祂没有放弃我,感谢神在我最困难的时候安慰我,感谢神让我的生命从此充满色彩.哈利路亚，阿门。

从我认识耶稣的那一天起。。。

三年前某一个星期五的晚上，当时还是大学新生的我，懵懵懂懂独自地踏进一个我没有想过会去的地方，一个充满陌生人的场所，而这个地方也同时是世界上充满最多的爱与喜乐的地方 — 禧纳丁校园福音中心。

出生于一个非基督家庭，生长于一个非基督化环境的我，身边的基督徒朋友也没几个，接触到基督教信仰的机会廖无所几，更别说是参加崇拜或团契的聚会了。记忆中小时侯有亲戚曾经邀请我和妹妹参加一个教会特别的庆典，那时我们和一群小朋友聚集在一起，玩游戏和聊天，我们虽然彼此都不认识，但他们都不把我和妹妹当陌生人看待。这也是我小时候对基督教唯一的印象，不过最后都因为自己贪睡而没再去了。

从小就在一个非常温暖的家庭长大，除了父母细心的照顾和呵护，也受到至亲长辈们的疼爱。生活起居方面，无论是家里的财务情况，父亲的事业，家人的健康，与家人之间的沟通，基本上都很美满。也许就是因为这种舒适的生活，使我觉得自己不需要依靠任何的信仰，也可以过一个很美好的人生。一直到我认识主的那时候开始，我才晓得，我所拥有的这一切都是上帝赐给我的，就连我每一个呼吸，都是靠着上帝的恩典，才能有生命气息过每一天。认识上帝后，当我在享受生活的同时，我学会了要为凡事感恩，也为了上帝创造万物来赞美他。就如大卫在诗篇34章1节里说：“我要时常感谢主；我要不断地赞美他。”在这期间，虽然我也曾经面对一些不如意的事情，但上帝的话语不断地出现在我脑海中。当我回想起上帝在我身上的作为时，所有的困难都显得不重要了，心中也有平安和喜乐，因为我相信上帝在掌管一切。

诗篇139:16“在我还没有出生以前，你已经认识我；我开始呼吸以前，你已经计划好我一生的日子，并且把每一天记在你的册上。”

我曾经这么想过，为什么上帝不让我早点认识他呢？如果我能早点认识上帝，我就可以和其他小朋友一起上主日学。如果我能早点认识上帝，我就能和朋友一起去团契，和家人一起去崇拜了。读了诗篇139 篇 16 节后，我才察觉到原来这一切都是上帝的旨意，上帝在我未出生以前已经为我铺好我的一生。我从小就非常依赖父母，无论做什么决定，我都要到父母的同意，所以第一次离开父母身旁时，我感到非常的担心和忧虑。我相信上帝已经看到了我的软弱，虽然我不认识他，不过我相信他已经为我安排好一个可以依靠的地方。也许这就是上帝奇妙的计划，让我能在美里的第二个星期就能接触到教会，第一次参加迎新会就能接受牧师的邀请参加团契，也同时接受耶稣进入我的生命中。而接受上帝的安排也意味着我在往后的日子中，我必须全心全意地靠着上帝的引领和保守走前面的道路。

在了解上帝的真理后，接受上帝其中一个障碍就是承认自己是个罪人。约翰一书1章8节这样说：“我们若说自己无罪，便是自欺，真理不在我们心里了。”起初在听弟兄姐妹或牧师在作祷告时，常常会听到他们求上帝原谅他们所犯的罪。我心里想，他们到底犯了什么罪，必须在众人面前认罪呢？而自己在祷告时都没有承认自己的罪，因为我从小就受到父母良好的教育，父母说不对的事情我都不会去碰。回想起以前的我，由于父母对信仰的认识也不多，所以我之前对宗教的观念是很普通的一句 — 别人在做什么，我就跟着做，完全没有想要知道原因。到庙里拜拜，求签求符，清明节扫墓时拜祖先这些我都已经习以为常，都把它当成华人的文化习俗来看待。直到我清楚地明白圣经说不可敬拜偶像后，我才惊讶的发现原来我以前所做的事，正慢慢的累积我的罪。但是上帝怜悯我，给我悔改的机会，并用耶稣的宝血洗净我的罪，让我重生变成一个新造的人。信主后，我学会每天向上帝作认罪悔改的祷告，也求圣灵的力量帮助我战胜罪恶。

上帝的目的其实很简单，他已经为我们准备好一份礼物，里面包裹着他最宝贵的恩典，要把它交给我们每一个人。圣经（使徒行传17章27节）告诉我们：“其实，上帝与我们每一个人相距不远。”我甚至觉得他其实就在我们每个人的身后，他手上捧着要给我们的礼物，无时无刻地跟随着我们，盼望有一天我们能回头接受他的礼物。也许我们被眼前的物质给迷惑住了，以至我们每天盲目的追求短暂的满足感与快乐感；也许我们被环境的吵杂声给遮蔽了，以至我们听不到上帝在呼唤着我们，但是上帝会用各种方法来告诉我们他就在我们身后，尤其是我们身边的人。当我们把目光专注在前面时，身旁的家人朋友，甚至是陌生人就会提醒我们该停下脚步。纵使我们在接受这份礼物又把它丢弃了，上帝也会毫无抱怨地检起来，不离不弃得跟着我们的步伐，直到我们愿意全心全意的接受他。唯有放下一切跟随主走那永生的路，将自己的一生交托于他，就能蒙受他白白赐给我们无尽的恩典了。

一切荣耀都归给主。

看见神的爱

看过也体验过神的爱.回头看, 原来神一直一直在带领着。常常都把我所拥有的一切当做是理所当然的。但其实都不是。要记得这乃是神给予的丰丰富富的恩典。

神曾带领我走过死荫幽谷。是祂告诉我在祂没有难成的事。一次又一次的当我向祂呼求，祂都带领我走过我认为不可能成的事。在别人身上我也看到神的做为。神是何等的伟大。

就从最小的事来说，我的学业。每一次考试我总是告诉我妈妈或着是身边的朋友我很没有信心去考试。但很奇妙的我每一次考试都顺利过关。为着这件事，我要向神感恩。若不是从祂上头来的聪明智慧，我不可能这么幸运每一次考试都过关。

小时候体弱多病，一病就病一个星期之久。然而来到大学最怕就是生病。毕竟父母不在身边，要是生病了就没人照顾。然而，至今我还没生过很严重的病。感谢神。
曾经在人际关系上面对很大的考验。神对我的呼求似乎没有给予任何的答案。多少次躲在角落里哭泣。原来神知道。只是祂有祂自己的安排。后来，我的问号得到了解答。神透过其他人将答案告诉了我。学会了祷告，也学会了等待神的回应。神并没有丢弃我。

要把神的恩典在这里说完是不可能的，因为太多太多了。相信很多人也是这样。有时候我们不要吝啬，要把这份父爱跟其他人分享。当外面的世界动荡不安，在神的怀抱里我感到了平安。这位阿爸天父真的太爱我们了。当有苦难临到，祂用祂大能的手来拯救及医治。每一天世界上有千千万万的人都在为这位伟大的天父做见证。
接下来，我还有漫长的路要走。爸爸，祢的话就是我脚前的灯，路上的光。我将我的前面未知的路交托在祢的手咯。我知道生命中难免还是有苦难，求祢教导我学习顺服。跌倒了，擦干眼泪，牵着爸爸的手继续走，在苦难中成长。做祢喜悦的乖女儿。

若你还没相信祂，告诉你相信祂你决不会后悔，因为你会从祂那儿得到那上好的福份。就好像我一样哦。No regrets.

媚媚的见证篇

见证篇

以前的我，脾气很暴躁，很容易就对身边的朋友发脾气。在家里，我的脾气更加坏。还记得以前我在言行上很会得罪人，也得罪神，就比如说粗口。其实我心里知道，那样是很不礼貌，也很不好看。试想想，一个女生骂粗口，那是多么难看的。但是，就觉得有些情况下，一定要骂个一两句才会爽。虽然我的家庭是基督化家庭，但是我的生命中却没有神。虽然有参与教会的事奉，但是却只是为了事奉而事奉，心态完全偏离了轨道。灵修祷告，也不是我生活中的一部分。每天，我都在犯罪。我的生命根本就没有一点见证可言。
在SMCGC,我真正看到神的家。我看到一个温暖的家庭，也正是这样的一个家让我改变。我第一次来到SMCGC时，那种感觉是很不一样的。我觉得那里有神满满的爱。在那里，我开始真正存着一颗受教的心，来聆听神的话语。神的话渐渐在我心中扎根。我真的感谢神，因为神藉着教会的朋友改变我。当我真正存着敬虔的心来到上帝面前时，我的心就开始接受神。每天，我也开始尝试过着灵修祷告的生活。虽然刚开始时并没有每天与神亲近，但是那种亲近神的感觉让我渴慕。因为只有在亲近主时，我才能在他灵里得安慰与安息。以前觉得很枯燥，很闷的圣经，我甚至开始每天研读。我觉得圣经里的每一句话真的都可以帮助我过我每一天的生活。现在的我，已经不说粗口了。因为，当我情绪激动时，上帝的话就开始浮现在我心里，帮助我不轻易发怒，也不说污秽的言语。我可以肯定，上帝的话不是难守的，只要我们愿意，就一定可以做到。我相信，每个弟兄姐妹，只要你们愿意，上帝的话会在你们心里扎根，也不会觉得那是难守的了。
愿神赐福那些愿意遵行他话语的人！

青佑的见证

说到那天9月29日我，本樟，依霖，林慧，媚媚，阿良两辆车（我和本樟的车）一起下去诗巫！我的车走前面，他跟后面！我不时不时注意后边，看看他到底跟上没有！
忽然间我看望后镜！怎么本樟的车不见了？以为只是开得比较慢，就停下来等！等了很久，还没有出现。就担心说发生了什么事情，就开回去找他们。果然本樟的车半路坏掉！水缸破裂，散热的风扇停止转动。我们到的时候，有一个好心的叔叔在那边帮忙看看，查查！还去附近的休息小站拿了一桶水来看看用不用的上。
经过一番的测试，觉得是没有救了！不能在继续前进了，不得不开回美里！但是我们位于距离美里60公里的地方，周围都是树林，电话都没有讯号。怎么办呢？
当时的我，忽然心理就想到要祷告！为着他的车来祷告！为了所有祷告！我就叫大家一起祷告也邀请那位好心叔叔一起祷告！祷告完，虽然车并没有因为我们的祷告而恢复正常！但是我们却心里的到安宁！而奇妙的恩典就彰显在后面。
我们在想怎么联络到拉车的，我们都没有电话，想说找勇仁，因为上次他也是遇到这样的情况。好心的叔叔就说他帮我们联络拉车的！叫我们去前面有一间屋子那边休息。啊？这里附近有休息站？就在离我们不到１公里的地方！就有一个休息小站！
那个小站就很简单，算是一个杂货店！在那边哦，竟然买到巴杀找不到ＲＭ１．５０的１００ｐｌｕｓ！有没有错哦？在这样偏僻的地方竟然才卖Ｒｍ１．５０！感谢主！我们买了解解渴。有休息站，那么电话能一定有讯号咯！拿出来一看！果然！大家就跟自己的家人报告一切！说会比较慢到阿！旁边还有厕所！外面有遮阳光的地方！我们就坐那边等！休息！
虽然说祷告并没有让车子好起来，但是后面的恩典我却是亲身体验到。所以你说上帝有没有听祷告？上帝确实听我们的祷告！

好心的叔叔帮我们打电话给拉车的就跟我们说差不多这个时间就回去车那边等拉车的！感谢主啊！我们虽然有多等了一下！但是车子还是顺利的被拉回去。虽然浪费了两个钟头的时间在那边等！但是我觉得都是值得的！

希望大家在遇到任何情况的时候都能够第一时间想到上帝！
要记得他永远是一个听祷告的上帝！

生命的曙光

如果，在下一秒，当我闭上眼再张开时，若我已身在这一片新天地时，我要认罪、感恩、欢喜、忧伤、后悔。。。。。
认罪是因为我在世所欠福音的债，如今我还欠着，还未偿还。
感恩是因为当神问我，在我的人生中最大的得着是什么？我会知道如何回答。
欢喜是因为我得着进天堂的这本护照。
忧伤是因为我没来得及把得救的救恩传给父亲、姐姐、侄儿。
后悔是因为我还未让父母享福，特别是母亲。。。。

在我人生中最大的得着便是在美里的这3年，也是让我看到我生命曙光的开始。记得2005年第二学期进入Curtin，神很眷顾我，神透过几位弟兄姐妹们的带领，让我能来到令我在我的信仰上有非凡的认识，深深的扎根，那就是卫理公会禧纳丁校园福音中心（简称SMCGC）。就因为有这个福音中心让我的生命不留白。
刚在这里崇拜和团契免不了会有一点不自在和不习惯，原因有很多，但是现在已忘记到7788，只记得2233而已。其中一个原因是出席的人数，令我意想不到的“多”，最不喜欢的节目便是查经会和小组，因为被点到回答问题的机率是100%，而我不会回答的机率也是100%，如果是问我白痴的问题或废话，我100%会回答。很感谢当时的几位弟兄姐妹们，常常“准时”到我家载我出席每次的聚会和崇拜，要不让我不知道我有没有这个机会来写这篇见证。当时的牧师是superman，当然他不是真超人，如果你们有看过IQ博士的漫画，你们便会知道为何我叫牧师“superman”。

渐渐的我喜欢上了查经会和小组，有了对圣经知识的渴望和热诚，不明白的地方，便会自然而然的发问，慢慢的学习，而且还参与了一个装备的课程-《门徒》。12位的门徒加上2位的牧者及传道一起组成一个不一样的学习、分享及彼此代祷的小组，更让我拉近了和弟兄姐妹们的距离，也让我对神的话有更深的了解、有更大的信心。培养每天都有灵修祷告的生活，人活着不是单靠你有多少钱能买多么丰富的食物吃，而是要靠上帝口里所说的每一句话，而上帝便是透过读经和祷告来对我说话。
教会的事奉也是让我更能融入教会的其中一个因素。透过教会的事奉能发现神给予自己的恩赐。最重要的是学习放下自己，不是为其他人，而是单单为服事神而活。
现在回头看，这个教会真的很不一样，因为神透过你和我来复兴了这个教会，属出席的人数最为明显，福音中心拆了又拆，当然不是因为要拆掉，而是人数的增长所以要把福音中心扩大。以前要穿几件外套才能“耐”抵御教会的“天气”，但是，现在叫你穿袜穿鞋去教会，都要“三思”，怕鞋里发生汗灾。这是一件好事，是在神眼里看为美好的一件的事。

希望SMCGC的每位弟兄姐妹们都能彼此的关心、彼此的配搭、彼此的帮助、彼此的学习、彼此有美好的沟通、彼此的包容、彼此的谅解，记得！一个人是不能完成天路的旅程，教会的复兴是靠你和我以及给予我们有生命的全能创造主。愿你们平安，阿们。

A TEENAGER'S VIEW OF HEAVEN
17-year-old Brian Moore had only a short time to write something for a class. The subject was 'What Heaven was like. ' I wowed 'em,' he later told his father, Bruce. 'It's a killer. It's the bomb. It's the best thing I ever wrote..' It also was the last.

Brian Moore died May 27, 1997, the day after Memorial Day. He was driving home from a friend's house when his car went off Bulen-Pierce Road in Pickaway County and struck a utility pole. He emerged from the wreck unharmed but stepped on a downed power line and was electrocuted.

The Moores framed a copy of Brian's essay and hung it among the family portraits in the living room. 'I think God used him to make a point. I think we were meant to find it and make something out of it,' Mrs. Moore said of the essay. She and her husband want to share their son's vision of life after death. 'I'm happy for Brian. I know he's in heaven. I know I'll see him.'

In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in the room. There were no distinguishing features except for the one wall covered with small index card files. They were like the ones in libraries that list titles by author or subject in alphabetical order. But these files, which stretched from floor to ceiling and seemingly endless in either direction, had very different headings. As I drew near the wall of files, the first to catch my attention was one that read 'Girls I have liked.' I opened it and began flipping through the cards. I quickly shut it, shocked to realize that I recognized the names written on each one. And then without being told, I knew exactly where I was.

This lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalog system for my life. Here were written the actions of my every moment, big and small, in a detail my memory couldn't match. A sense of wonder and curiosity, coupled with horror, stirred within me as I began randomly opening files and exploring their content. Some brought joy and sweet memories; others a sense of shame and regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching.

A file named 'Friends' was next to one marked 'Friends I have betrayed.' The titles ranged from the mundane to the outright weird 'Books I Have Read,' 'Lies I Have Told,' 'Comfort I have Given,' 'Jokes I Have Laughed at .' Some were almost hilarious in their exactness: 'Things I've yelled at my brothers.' Others I couldn't laugh at: 'Things I Have Done in My Anger', 'Things I Have Muttered Under My Breath at My Parents.' I never ceased to be surprised by the contents.

Often there were many more cards than I expected. Sometimes fewer than I hoped. I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had lived. Could it be possible that I had the time in my years to fill each of these thousands or even millions of cards? But each card confirmed this truth. Each was written in my own handwriting. Each signed with my signature.

When I pulled out the file marked 'TV Shows I have watched', I realized the files grew to contain their contents. The cards were packed tightly, and yet after two or three yards, I hadn't found the end of the file. I shut it, shamed, not so much by the quality of shows but more by the vast time I knew that file represented.

When I came to a file marked 'Lustful Thoughts,' I felt a chill run through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, not willing to test its size and drew out a card. I shuddered at its detailed content.

I felt sick to think that such a moment had been recorded. An almost animal rage broke on me. One thought dominated my mind: No one must ever see these cards! No one must ever see this room! I have to destroy them!' In insane frenzy I yanked the file out. Its size didn't matter now. I had to empty it and burn the cards. But as I took it at one end and began pounding it on the floor, I could not dislodge a single card. I became desperate and pulled out a card, only to find it as strong as steel when I tried to tear it.

Defeated and utterly helpless, I returned the file to its slot. Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying sigh.

And then I saw it.. The title bore 'People I Have Shared the Gospel With.' The handle was brighter than those around it,seemed newer, almost unused. I pulled on its handle and a small box not more than three inches long fell into my hands. I could count the cards it contained on one hand.

And then the tears came. I began to weep. Sobs so deep that they hurt. They started in my stomach and shook through me. I fell on my knees and cried. I cried out of shame, from the overwhelming shame of it all. The rows of file shelves swirled in my tear-filled eyes. No one must ever, ever know of this room. I must lock it up and hide the key. But then as I pushed away the tears, I saw Him.

No, please not Him. Not here. Oh, anyone but Jesus. I watched helplessly as He began to open the files and read the cards. I couldn't bear to watch His response. And in the moments I could bring myself to look at His face, I saw a sorrow deeper than my own.

He seemed to intuitively go to the worst boxes. Why did He have to read every one? Finally He turned and looked at me from across the room. He looked at me with pity in His eyes. But this was a pity that didn't anger me. I dropped my head, covered my face with my hands and began to cry again. He walked over and put His arm around me. He could have said so many things. But He didn't say a word. He just cried with me.

Then He got up and walked back to the wall of files. Starting at one end of the room, He took out a file and, one by one, began to sign His name over mine on each card. 'No!' I shouted rushing to Him. All I could find to say was 'No, no,' as I pulled the card from Him. His name shouldn't be on these cards. But there it was, written in red so rich, so dark, so alive. The name of Jesus covered mine. It was written with His blood. He gently took the card back. He smiled a sad smile and began to sign the cards. I don't think I'll ever understand how He did it so quickly, but the next instant it seemed I heard Him close the last file and walk back to my side.

He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, 'It is finished.' I stood up, and He led me out of the room. There was no lock on its door. There were still cards to be written.

'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.'-Phil. 4:13 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.' If you feel the same way forward it so the love of Jesus will touch their lives also my 'People I shared the gospel with' file just got bigger, how about yours?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Peace be with all of you. I know all of you are now busy cracking your head, getting all the facts, figures, equations into ur head. I dont mean to take up much of your time here. Just wana drop by and wish you all the best in your exams ahead. Don't forget to seek God in any circumstances, for He's a loving and gracious God. Prep all you can for now, then leave it all to God. Don't stress yourself up, ok?

Some announcements to make. There will be no chinese fellowship this coming Friday. Instead, there will be a combined fellowship on Saturday, 730PM. What's happening is that Uncle Paul Wong from GMC will be share on the topic of "Global Financial Crisis - A Christian's Perspective". I believe it'll be something really fruitful for all us. I hope to see all of you there!!

Main committee members will be having their 4th meeting this coming Sunday, 100PM. Please keep this in your prayers. Pray for wisdoms on all these committee members that they'll do God's work wisely and justly.

“为什么”是我们很喜欢问的问题。我们不止问别人为什么，也很喜欢问上帝为什么。

愿这个真实对白给你带来答案。

美國著名牧師葛培理的女兒安妮，於911後被美國某電視台邀請出席節目。

主持人單刀直入問：「為何上帝會讓此等悲劇發生？」

她以神的睿智，道出一番見解︰

我深信神跟我們一樣，為此事極度痛心。

但美國人在這些年來，將神從學校中趕走、將祂從政府內踢走、將祂從我們生活中剔走。

我相信神只有默默地從我們的生活中無奈淡出。

當初是我們自己叫神離開，為甚麼現在又要問祂到底在那裡？

為甚麼我們有權質問神，為何不保護美國人？

不如讓我們回顧美國這幾年的道德發展，好嗎？

某年，有人提出，學校內不可祈禱，因為學校應宗教中立，學校無權要求學生祈禱。

我們說︰「無問題！」

某月，有人覺得教導人「不可殺人、不可偷盜、要愛鄰舍」的聖經落伍，不如把它從學校中拿走。

我們說︰「無問題！」

某日，有人說︰「孩子的自尊心很脆弱，我們不應使用體罰。」（說這話的人，他的孩子最終自殺身亡。）

我們說︰「無問題！」

某刻，有人說︰「時代變了，老師、校長不應責罰學生，學生承受太大壓力了。」因怕惹怒家長，引起傳媒報導，學校不敢處罰學生。

我們說︰「無問題！」

又有人說︰「孩子有人權，他們有權接受墮胎手術，更沒有責任通知父母。」

我們說︰「無問題！」

他說︰「與其閃閃縮縮，不如主動教孩子如何使用安全套。反正孩子都是好奇嘛，婚前性行為，沒甚麼大不了！」

我們說︰「無問題！」

有人說︰「工作跟私人生活應分開，只要那總統能搞好經濟.....我們幹嗎要管人家的私生活？！人人都有私隱嘛！」

我們說︰「無問題！」

有人說︰「瀏覽色情網站是個人自由，即使是兒童色情網站又如何？這都是個人言論自由，關你甚麼事！」

我們說︰「無問題！」

有人說︰「現代人應有開放思想，電視、電影的色情、暴力，只不過在反映社會實況。關於毒品、強姦、謀殺、惡魔的歌詞，也不過是宣洩情緒、紓緩壓力......為何要大驚小怪？想做就去做嘛！」

我們說︰「無問題！」

成年人為社會訂下以上種種「社會制度」後，我們又要追問︰為甚麼現今孩子沒有良知？為何孩子持槍殺人？為何13歲的孩子已為人父母？為甚麼911慘劇要發生？

神無奈地答︰「孩子呀！是你們不許我踏入你們的生命。」

若細心思索，不難發現這一切是我們自己做成的，我們親手摧毀了自己所栽種的。

有趣的是，人們離棄神，卻又質問神為何整個世界正走向地獄的門口。

有趣的是，我們相信報紙所說的，卻質疑經上所說的。

有趣的是，你可以透過電郵發出笑話，並且很快被廣傳，但當你發出與神有關的信息時，人們卻猶豫。

有趣的是，不雅及色情的文章在網上自由地發放；但在學校及工作環境中，對於神的公開討論卻被抑制。

你正在想什麼呢？

有趣的是，當你把這封郵件轉送出去時，你不會發給很多人，因你不知道其他人會怎樣看你。

有趣的是，你對別人怎看你比對神怎看你更加在意。

若你認為這是有意義的，把這封電郵傳給其他人吧！

否則，把它棄掉吧！沒有人會知道的。

但是若你棄掉這思想過程的話，便不要投訴現今的世界不像樣了！

Beautiful touching story (thanks for the sharing by Joseph Ng)

This beautiful story was written by a doctor who worked in Africa.

One night I had worked hard to help a mother in the labor ward; but in
spite of all we could do, she died, leaving us with a tiny, premature baby
and a crying two-year-old daughter.

We would have difficulty keeping the baby alive as we had no incubator
(we had no electricity to run an incubator). We also had no special
feeding facilities. Although we lived on the equator, nights were often
chilly with treacherous drafts.

One student midwife went for the box we had for such babies and the cotton
wool that the baby would be wrapped in. Another went to stoke up the
fire and fill a hot water bottle. She came back shortly in distress to
tell me that in filling the bottle, it had burst (rubber perishes easily
in tropical climates).

"And it is our last hot water bottle!" she exclaimed. As in the West, it
is no good crying over spilled milk, so in Central Africa it might be
considered no good crying over burst water bottles. They do not grow on
trees, and there are no drugstores down forest pathways.

"All right," I said, "put the baby as near the fire as you safely can, and
sleep between the baby and the door to keep it free from drafts. Your job
is to keep the baby warm."

The following noon , as I did most days, I went to have prayers with any
of the orphanage children who chose to gather with me. I gave the
youngsters various suggestions of things to pray about and told them about
the tiny baby. I explained our problem about keeping the baby warm
enough, mentioning the hot water bottle, and that the baby could so easily
die if it got chills. I also told them of the two-year-old sister, crying
because her mother had died.

During prayer time, one ten -year-old girl, Ruth, prayed with the usual
blunt conciseness of our African children. "Please, God" she prayed,
"Send us a hot water bottle today. It'll be no good tomorrow, God, as the
baby will be dead, so please send it this afternoon."

While I gasped inwardly at the audacity of the prayer, she added, "And
while You are about it, would You please send a dolly for the little girl
so she'll know You really love her?"

As often with children's prayers, I was put on the spot. Could I honestly
say "Amen"? I just did not believe that God could do this. Oh, yes, I
know that He can do everything; the Bible says so. But there are limits,
aren't there? The only way God could answer this particular prayer would
be by sending me a parcel from the homeland. I had been in Africa for
almost four years at that time, and I had never, ever, received a parcel
from home.

Anyway, if anyone did send me a parcel, who would put in a hot water
bottle? I lived on the equator!

Halfway through the afternoon, while I was teaching in the nurses'
training school, a message was sent that there was a car at my front
door. By the time I reached home, the car had gone, but there on the
verandah was a large 22-pound parcel. I felt tears pricking my eyes. I
could not open the parcel alone, so I sent for the orphanage
children. Together we pulled off the string, carefully undoing each
knot. We folded the paper, taking care not to tear it unduly. Excitement
was mounting. Some thirty or forty pairs of eyes were focused on the
large cardboard box..

>From the top, I lifted out brightly-colored, knitted jerseys. Eyes
sparkled as I gave them out. Then there were the knitted bandages for the
leprosy patients, and the children looked a little bored. Then came a box
of mixed raisins and sultanas - that would make a batch of buns for the
weekend. Then, as I put my hand in again, I felt the.....could it really
be? I grasped it and pulled it out. Yes, a brand new, rubber hot water
bottle. I cried.

I had not asked God to send it; I had not truly believed that He could.
Ruth was in the front row of the children. She rushed forward, crying
out, "If God has sent the bottle, He must have sent the dolly, too!"
Rummaging down to the bottom of the box, she pulled out the small,
beautifully- dressed dolly. Her eyes shone! She had never doubted!
Looking up at me, she asked: "Can I go over with you and give this dolly
to that little girl, so she'll know that Jesus really loves her?" Of
course, I replied!

That parcel had been on the way for five whole months, packed up by my
former Sunday school class, whose leader had heard and obeyed God's
prompting to send a hot water bottle, even to the equator. And one of the
girls had put in a dolly for an African child - five months before, in
answer to the believing prayer of a ten-year-old to bring it "that
afternoon."

"Before they call, I will answer." (Isaiah 65:24)

(How miraclously God works in our life!! So never for one second doubt Him!!)

Dearest Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

How’s the week going on? I’m so glad most of my assignments are done for now. What are left for me are my “major” design project and two more tests. No finals for me this semester!! Haha. Anyway, I’m sure all the rest of us will do GREAT!!

Coming up this week, we have birthday celebration in Chinese fellowship and the commencement of dancing class.

The birthday celebration in Chinese fellowship will be held on this coming Friday, 24th October, at 730PM. Come join us in the celebration of members with their birthday from July08 to Dec08. If anyone needs transportation, do contact PengHi at 016-8890613 for arrangements.

The dancing class is back to business!! Haha. Led by PingPing from English fellowship, the dancing class will start again this coming Sunday, 19th October, at 545PM. Venue is at SMCGC centre. Interested? Come join us in Introduction to Basic Dancing 101.

Bday celebration during Friday night cell group

We [Ferdinand's cell group] had out usual Friday night cell group's gathering at Ferdinand's house but apparently, there are 3 sisters in our group whose birthday fell on the same day.
So after our bible studies session, we celebrated their birthday and Fenice thinks that it is a good idea to post this out on the SMCGC's blog.

We also requested the three birthday girls to write out their feelings on that night：

Janet: Yay! I am 19.Haha.I am really happy because this year I have the chance to celebrate my birthday with the other two sisters in our cell group. I really thank our sister Fenice and brother Alvin for remembering our birthday and prepared a birthday celebration for us during our cell group. Besides I also thank God for His abundance grace and guidance in my life. Well, I am glad that I am in this cell group. Our group is surrounded with love from brothers and sisters. And each time, I am looking forward to cell group meetings too. In future, I wish to grow together with all the brothers and sisters in our cell group in terms of spiritual life and can continue to serve for God. That's all.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Peace be with all of you!! It has been quite some time since I last wrote to you guys. I bet everyone is now cranking their heads, going through sleepless nights to meet assignment dues and prepare for tests and exams!! Just like to remind you all to stay healthy always!!

There are a few announcements to make for the weeks to come. First, the Chinese fellowship be having a Bible knowledge quiz this coming Friday, 17th October, at 730PM. The context will be from the Book of Matthew. Please do some reading on this book to prepare yourself for this exciting fun quiz!!

The English fellowship will be organizing an evangelism night this coming Saturday, 18th October, at 730PM. We’ll be featuring a DVD on Datuk Chua Jui Meng’s testimony. Please invite your friends to come witness this spectacular sharing!!

You are all also encouraged to join the English short term mission school during our semester break. It will be for a duration of 6 weeks (January to February 2009), held in Methodist Theological School, Sibu. The registration fee is RM680, inclusive of food, accommodation and minimal living expenses. SMCGC is most willing to subsidy one-third of the fee. If anyone of you is interested, please register with Pastor Connie before 1st December.

Do take note also that the sign language class held on every Sunday has changed time to 700PM – 900PM. A gentle reminder also to those interested in joining the Youth Life Camp (Mandarin) held in Limbang, the registration deadline is 16th November.

God as described by an 8-year old

This is very interesting to see how children understand and believe in God!! How miraculously the Holy Spirit works in the faith of the kid!!

"One of God's main jobs is making people. He makes them to replace the ones that die so there will be enough people to take care of things here on earth. He doesn't make grown-ups, just babies. I think because they are smaller and easier to make, That way, He doesn't have to take up His valuable time teaching them to talk and walk. He can just leave that to mothers and fathers.

God's second most important job is listening to prayers. An awful lot of this goes on, since some people, like preachers and things, pray at times besides bedtime. God doesn't have time to listen to the radio or TV on account of this. Since He hears everything, not only prayers, there must be a terrible lot of noise in His ears, unless He has thought of a way to turn it off.

God sees everything and hears everything and is everywhere, which keeps Him pretty busy. So you shouldn't go wasting His time by going over your parent's head asking for something they said you couldn't have.

Atheists are people who don't believe in God. I don't think there are any in Chula Vista . At least there aren't any who come to our church.

Jesus is God's Son. He used to do all the hard work like walking on water and performing miracles and trying to teach the people who didn't want to learn about God. They finally got tired of Him preaching to them and they crucified Him. But He was good and kind like His Father and He told His Father that they didn't know what they were doing and to forgive them and God said OK.

His Dad (God) appreciated everything that He had done and all His hard work on earth so He told Him He didn't have to go out on the road anymore. He could stay in heaven. So He did. And now He helps His Dad out by listening to prayers and seeing things which are important for God to take care of and which ones He can take care of Himself without having to bother God. Like the secretary, only more important, of course. You can pray anytime you want and they are sure to hear you because they got it worked out so one of them is on duty all the time.

You should always go to Church on Sunday because it makes God happy, and if there's anybody you want to make happy, it's God. Don't skip church to do something you think will be more fun like going to the beach. This is wrong!

And, besides, the sun doesn't come out at the beach until noon anyway.

If you don't believe in God, besides being an atheist, you will be very lonely, because your parent can't go everywhere with You, like to camp, but God can. It is good to know He's around you when you're scared in the dark or when you can't swim very good and you get thrown into real deep water by big kids. But you shouldn't just always think of what God can do for you. I figure God put me here and He can take me back anytime He pleases.

And that's why I believe in God."

Methodist Miri District Badminton Competition

SMCGC first participation in the Methodist district badminton competition. Above is the group photo of all players and supporters. Although SMCGC did not win any of the competition this year, we want to also give praises and thanks to the Lord.

Many thanks als to all the players who played faithfully and whole-heartedly in the games. You all have indeed glorified God's name!! We look forward for another round again next year. So others who are interested, start training and preparing yourself. And let's hope we'll win next year!!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

How’s life going on? I bet everyone is into this mid-term fever, dealing with mid-term tests, quizzes, meeting deadlines for assignments and etc. Just a reminder that even in our busiest days, we should not forget our great Lord.

There won’t be much “big” happenings in SMCGC this time of the year because we do understand that everyone will be really busy. However, I have a few announcements here.

As we all know, this year is “mission” year for SMCGC. So, SMCGC is urging members to join the Pa Adang Mission Trip. Besides, there will also be prison ministry training to equip members in preaching gospel to prisoners. There is also a Youth Life Camp which will be organized in Limbang at the end of the year.

The Pa Adang Mission Trip will start from 28th November to 4th December 2008. Registration fee is RM700 but members will only need to pay one-third of the cost. Anyone interested, do register with Pastor Connie latest by 15th September.

Prison ministry training will be held on 4th October from 830Am to 1200PM at Mei Ann Methodist Church. Registration fee is RM15 inclusive of training materials and refreshments. Competent participants will be registered for the permit to preach gospel in prisons for two years. Anyone interested, do register with Pastor Connie latest by 19th September.

The Youth Life Camp, conducted in Mandarin will start from 29th December 2008 to 1st January 2009. It will be held in Ling Kwong Methodist Church, Limbang. Members between age group of 14 to 23 are most welcomed to join. Registration fee is RM90. SMCGC will subsidy a maximum of RM45 per person. Anyone interested, please register with Pastor Connie latest by 16th November.

Phew, enough with all these register here and there, latest by when and when. Sign language class will commence on 21st September 2008 and will be conducted every Sunday afternoon 300PM to 500PM by bro. Victor from GMC. Interested (again), please send your email and contact to pastor.

Please be reminded that next Sunday (21st September) is Holy Communion Sunday. Do prepare your hearts as you partake the Holy Communion. Bible bites and Chinese Bible study go on as usual. Mooncake Celebration

This year, there seems to be alot of happenings in SMCGC in collaboration with the Mooncake Festival. First, we'll be having an English fellowship on 6th Sept, 730PM. I heard rumours saying that Angline will be teaching us how to make mooncakes. Come and learn!! =)

Next, there'll be a song dedication night on 12th Sept in collaboration also with the Mooncake Celebration. It starts from 7PM to 10PM (latest). It will be conducted mainly in Chinese but English members are most welcomed to join us too. There will be both Chinese and English songs available for request and to be dedicated to other members. Come join us and have fun!!

On 13th Sept, 7PM, the English fellowship will be visiting the Children Home and celebrating Mooncake Festival with them. Do join us and share your love with the needy.

Lastly, would like to request everyone to include these three events in your prayers. Pray for good weather, response (attendance), preparation of the musician teams, and also that the children's hearts will be touched with our love.

Note that right hand sidebar of the blog has our weekly program, and also the SMCGC calendar which will have all our programs marked down. So, do check it out in case you are lost!! Hehe.. There's also a chatbox where you can interact with other members of the church (although MSN would probably still be your preferred choice).

So, what's happening next?! We'll be having a mooncake celebration fellowship with the English fellowship group on this coming Saturday (6th Sept). Chinese fellowship will have their mooncake celebration on next Friday (12th Sept), in which we'll be song dedication programs. Do come and join us and who know's you'll probably learn afew tips on how to make mooncakes!! =)

The English fellowship will also be visiting the Children Home on 13th Sept. We'll be celebrating mooncake festival with the children there!! Do join us!! We'll be leaving SMCGC at 645PM. If you do need transport, do contact Angeline, 012-8099770 for arrangments.
